Wausau Supply Company manufactures and distributes premium building materials from coast to coast. Our territory continues to expand as we continuously strive to meet the demands of our customers with nineteen distribution centers and five manufacturing and finishing facilities.

 Wausau Supply Company Distribution Material Handler is responsible for quality control and sorting and maintaining flow of materials through the distribution system.   It is the responsibility of the Distribution Material Handler to be aware of all distribution goals and anticipate problems that could impact long term goals, including quality control and establishing high standards of workmanship.  In order to be effective as the Distribution Material Handler, individual must be fluent with communication, and it is imperative that positive relations with all internal levels of the organization remain uncompromised.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Pick and pack to ensure all orders are pulled and packaged properly to be loaded
• Ensure all orders are loaded properly on the correct trailer and all the paperwork is complete so the orders can ship
• Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure participation in safety programs and required trainings
• Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principals of safety for self and others into daily activities
• Sort and move product interdepartmentally while operating and using a variety of material handling equipment, including, but not limited to, forklift, hand-helds, racks, etc.
• Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and encourages team effort
• Perform other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or company mission

Education / Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Warehouse hand-held ERP technology experience a plus but not required - training will be provided

Working Demands / Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time

Reports to:  Distribution Manager/Supervisor
