Overview

This position can reside in any of the following areas: Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Deleware, Northern Virginia, or Pennsylvania.

 

Summary:  As a Steward and front line contact to our Territory Managers and Customers; a Regional Manager will work to develop a plan for growth and maintain positive/profitable relations. Primarily acting as a mentor and liaison to our Territory Managers holding them accountable in achieving set company sales & growth goals.

Conclusion:  A Wausau Supply Co. Regional Manager will exemplify the high standards that have come to be associated with Wausau Supply Co. As a frontline employee politeness, honor, integrity and the willingness to do what our competition will not is expected in every client interaction. The maintenance and growth of Wausau Supply Co. customer base, increasing margin/volume is every RM’s prime objective. 

Responsibilities

Duties include (not limited to)

 

  • Manage, Coach and Train Territory Managers (TM) on a daily basis:
  • Review daily call reports /CRM and give feedback as needed.
  • Set sales and conversion goals with salespeople.
  • Identify and schedule needed training for salespeople.
  • Follow up, review and inspect set goals and expectations set for TM’s.
  • Schedule, Plan and Lead regional sales meetings.
  • Direct TM Management as follows and not limited to:
    • Assist in interview and hiring of prospective TM’s
    • Schedule, manage and approve holidays, vacations, etc.
    • Maintain appropriate personnel records of review.
    • Work with Human Resources in order to write performance/corrective action plans for employees as needed.
  • Travel with TM’s to keep pulse on territories in order to make sure to supply support and resources to TM in order for success to be achieved.

 

  • Sales Responsibilities:
  • Review sales reports and identify sales opportunities for the region.
  • Meet with Director of Sales to develop marketing strategies for your region.
  • Work with TM to develop and implement action plans that will grow sales with current customers by conversions to our products and identifying new customers as well.
  • Communicate with Director of Sales on inventory and customer service needs.
  • Write month & year-end sales summary reports.
  • Assist TM’s with set up, planning and execution of customer events.
  • General working knowledge of residential construction.
  • Strong people skills needed in order to developing and sustaining relationships that would result in advanced sales of our key products
  • Utilize electronic expense report tools daily.
  • Must have reliable internet service in home office.
  • Keep company vehicle clean, organized and prepared to perform your responsibilities.

Qualifications

A Regional Manager will possess and/or demonstrate:

  • Communicate and share information with supervisors and other regional managers.
  • Important to be organized and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Individual must be energetic, motivated self-starter and able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Important to possess the ability to be coached, trained and mentored by others.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Display professional behavior to all internal and external contacts in conjunction with policies and procedures as outline in the employee handbook.
